چکیده

M icroalbuminuria is generally considered as the best available noninvasive predictor of diabetic nephropathy. However, several studies have shown that increases in certain urinary proteins (immunoglobin G [IgG] [1–3], transferrin [Tf] [4–7], and ceruloplasmin [CRL] [3,8]) were found in normoalbuminuric diabetic patients. Recently, we reported that in normoalbuminuric diabetic patients, there was a strong linear correlation among these urinary proteins (9). To assess whether increased urinary excretions of IgG, CRL, and Tf can predict development of microalbuminuria, we conducted a 5-year follow-up study of type 2 diabetic patients with normoalbuminuria at baseline.

Parallel increase in urinary excretion rates of immunoglobulin G, ceruloplasmin, transferrin, and orosomucoid in normoalbuminuric type 2 diabetic patients.

OBJECTIVE Increased urinary excretions of several plasma proteins with different molecular radii <55 A and different isoelectric points (pI), such as IgG, ceruloplasmin, transferrin, and orosomucoid, have been independently reported to precede the development of microalbuminuria in diabetic patients. We examined whether increases in urinary excretions of these proteins would be in parallel in t...

فراوانی نسبی میکروآلبومینوری در بیماران دیابتی نوع 2 مراجعه کننده به درمانگاه دیابت مجتمع بیمارستانی امام خمینی در سال 81-1380

Introduction: The urinary excretion of minimal quantities of albumin (microalbuminuria) is predictive of renal failure and cardiovascular mortality. The detection and prompt treatment of microalbuminuria is crucial to the prevention and progress of renal failure in patients with diabetes. The aim of this study is to evaluate the relative frequency of microalbuminuria in different age groups o...

Urinary excretions of lipocalin-type prostaglandin D synthase predict renal injury in type-2 diabetes: a cross-sectional and prospective multicentre study.

BACKGROUND Urinary excretions of lipocalin-type prostaglandin D synthase/beta-trace (L-PGDS) probably reflect the increased permeability of injured glomerular capillary walls of the kidney. We tested the hypothesis in cross-sectional and prospective studies that urinary L-PGDS excretions predict renal injury in type-2 diabetes. METHODS (1) In the cross-sectional studies, we evaluated whether ...

میزان بروز میکروآلبومینوری و عوامل خطر همراه در بیماران دیابتی نوع 2

Background: Microalbuminuria represents the earliest clinical of renal involvement and reflects the progression of diabetic nephropathy and increased risk of mortality in diabetic patients. The incidence of diabetic nephropathy in type 2 diabetes differs widely by race .The aim of this study was to determine the incidence of and risk factors for microalbuminuria in type 2 diabetic patients. ...

Low-dose candesartan cilexetil prevents early kidney damage in type 2 diabetic patients with mildly elevated blood pressure.

To determine the effect of a low-dose angiotensin receptor blocker, candesartan, on early kidney damage associated with diabetes. Fifty-two patients with type 2 diabetes with normo- and microalbuminuria participated in this study. Nineteen patients with high-normal and mildly high blood pressure received low-dose candesartan cilexetil at 4 mg daily (candesartan group), and 33 patients did not r...
